Fox Hill Farm and a Birthday

Isla’s little girlfriends Lily & Laney turned 1 yesterday. They had their party at Fox Hill Farm in Issaquah. We had never been and I’m so glad we had the opportunity to go. It was seriously so much fun! The party was beautiful, and the girls looked so darling. My friend thought of everything and it made me all the more frazzled for Isla’s party in less than a week, haha.

It was a morning party (10-12) and the only thing I didn’t anticipate was how freaking COLD it was!! Thankfully I was the only one who didn’t bring a coat, but I wish I had long pants for Rowan. Sometimes I forget that it takes awhile before the sun breaks through on these summer mornings.

There were these mini houses with mini furniture etc… and slides that came out and Rowan absolutely loved it. He’s really into imaginative play these days, so it was perfect. There were also animals to pet, ponies to ride (Rowan wanted nothing to do with this..) a train ride (said it was his favorite) and these little motorized tractors and quads you could take for a loop. he also loved these and went super fast. It kind of scared me! No fear in this kid I guess! lol.

   Isla LOVES to point now. It is so cute!       

A Little Lake Swimmin’

I remember going to Pine Lake Park as a kid. Church picnics, swimming, etc…

I’ve taken the kids here to play quite a few times but the first time for swimming. First time swimming in a lake at all, I think! It was so nice! I love how shallow it is. Isla had a ball just crawling around splashing in the water and picking up pebbles. Rowan was busy venturing out into the water with Mor Mor. She’s a pretty good sport.

    Standing up looking at all the big kids!       Definitely something I couldn’t do alone. I’m finding it harder and harder to even go to parks since Isla wants down to toddle around but Rowan needs me to watch him and is all over the place. Thankful for my mom and Russ!

The camera on my phone isn’t the best, but it’s almost always with me. Here are some randoms from lately…

Sneaking a nap in with my sweet girl  Enjoying a cupcake at Addison’s birthday party. Or at least the frosting….Isla standing up reading a book   At beaver lake park for a special kid’s show. Every tuesday in Sammamish, there is a different kid’s concert or event in one of the local parks. I try to take the kids when I can. This one was PACKED and super fun, even though it was pretty hot! I usually pack a picnic lunch and try my best to keep both kids in the same general area…which has gotten really challenging!  Meeting our little buddies, Lily & Laney at toddler time downtown Issy. Rowan came too (and Mor Mor!). Little does Isla know, that she’ll be getting one of these for her bday. She loved it! Playing at different parks Hiking the little trails at Farrel Mcwhirter park. Perfect for toddlers! Out for a chilly morning walk They played inside this box until it was completely trashed. So fun! Rowan kept pretending it was his pirate ship.   Just another afternoon at Kids Quest in Bellevue. So glad we got a membership there. It was the first time I let Isla get down and crawl around there. Two Peas in a Pod

I wanted to take some photos of Isla all dressed up like a little princess the other day, but of course Rowan wanted to be a part of the action. This is the ONLY time he will “allow” us to take his pictures.. when I’m trying to take pictures of sister. ;-) I guess I should have dressed in him something cute and matchy. Next time!

I just love how much they capture their relationship… well, at least the good part where no one is crying.

“ I wanna hold Isla, Mom!”  This one cracks me up. She is always trying to grab his nose or ears! Poor Rowan!  This is Rowan wanting me to “take a picture of his frisbee..”

Tuckered Out

You know those adorable baby pictures where kids fall asleep in their high chairs, or playing? yeah.. I don’t have any. That is because this NEVER happens. Rowan really loves his classroom at church and wore himself out! I thought he seemed quiet over there on the couch.
