Wrapping up the Summer

I thought it was starting to feel a bit more like Fall, and I’ve even had my first pumpkin spice latte of the season, but this week is actually supposed to be pretty hot.  Here are a bunch (and I DO mean a bunch) more photos of what we’ve been up to. Mostly phone photos!

Asleep in the car Playing with Jaxen Russ sent me on a little shopping spree. SO nice to go to the mall all by myself!! Out to breakfast! I am in LOVE with this picture. So cute how Rowan is looking up at Russ. Isla fell down outside and got quite the scraped up nose. I’ve been selling some of Rowan and Isla’s old things lately. (keeping some too of course!) This is Rowan pretending to be sad that I sold his Toms. He hardly even wore them! lol

Shopping at Trader Joes. I dont know why, but this felt like such a defining moment that he’s growing up. Just a few months ago, I could have NEVER let him do this w/out Russ being there. He was a wild man running into everything and throwing everything into the cart. When we parked, I told him he would have to sit into the cart. He got all serious and teary eyed, and since it was super early in the morning I asked him if he thought he could do a really good job and just STAY by me. HE DID! It was crazy. He couldn’t have been better and was very proud of himself. “ Nope! Dad and I didn’t have any chocolate before dinner!!?” Morning walk Costco smoothies! Playing with his girlfriend Hanna at the park. Walking out of church Puzzles with his best friend, Mor Mor. He will sit like this for hours. Really loves doing puzzles. Eating a cupcake at Calvin’s 1st bday And Isla enjoying her broccoli, lol Playing with her princess castle (gosh, I love having a girl!) Feeling grumpy Toddler time at the community center. No more wearing this girl in the Ergo. She was playing like crazy! The batman bike was new. Rowan thought it was pretty cool. Yep..secret is out. I’m not a natural blonde these days ;-) My friend Jen just opened up her own studio and did a fabulous job with my hair! So fun to go chat and relax. Lunch at Red Robin. This didn’t go as well as I hoped. Isla wanted to get down and explore. Only photo I took. They both insisted on wearing their sunglasses at Target. Isla LOVES to put on shoes, headbands, or other accessories and then will walk around saying  “WOW!” to Rowan or Russ. She’ll then take it off and want to do it all over. It’s so cute and funny.
