Okay so a few things to mention: 1. I feel bad that the last few posts have been about Isla… but in my defense, it’s her birthday week… AND..Rowan is SUPER hard to photograph these days. 2. Those little monthly onesie stickers seem like a great idea, but let me tell you… they are stressful! haha. Every month I would have this panicked moment like, “ Wait… what day is it? What are we doing today, I have to put a white onesie on Isla… try and keep Rowan entertained so he won’t mow her over during my little shoot, and for the last few months.. try to make sure she doesn’t eat the sticker.” I feel like the photos got less and less cute as the months went on, ha!
So here it is… the best one I got:
It really only gets worse from here. The girl would not keep her headband on, she kept trying to rip off the sticker, I noticed her onesie still had breakfast on it, and she would NOT smile. Here are some of the other ones I took:
Well at least I can get a laugh out of it.
Isla’s actual birthday was on the 5th. We had her party on the 3rd and did family birthday on the 4th, when Russ was home. I think poor Rowan has had enough. He keeps asking when it’s his turn. :)
Here are some photos from our time as a family. We went to church in the morning, did family gifts, and then played outside.
Isla has brought SOOOO much joy to our lives. I cannot believe she is already 1, as cliche as that might sound. It went SO much faster than the first time and it almost makes my heart ache. She has become so funny the last few months. She loves to give kisses, wave, and be snuggled by me, russ, rowan, or mor-mor, her favorite food is blueberries. She likes to play with cars and even makes zooming noises. She puckers up her lips and shakes her head back and forth while dancing whenever we say, “ Go crazy, go crazy!!” She still wakes up at least 5 or 6 times per night and I’m finally okay with it. I know it’s not forever. She loves to drink water. She loves being in the water. She is walking EVERYWHERE now. Love that little waddle. Isla, you are the sweetest little girl on the planet, and the daughter I always hoped and prayed I would have. So glad I get to be your mommy!
