Christmas 2013

We haven’t been sick at our house since last January and of course we all had to get sick the week leading up to Christmas. Everyone was better but me, a few days before though which was good! I have had blocked sinuses and a headache for days. Saddest thing is that I still can’t taste or smell. Who wants that on Christmas? Good diet plan I guess. ;-) My dad stopped by on Christmas Eve for an hour, but I was feeling horrible. Christmas morning our kids slept until 6:40 (best gift ever!!) It was so cute to watch Rowan come out of his room and discover all the gifts under the tree. We turned on the fire, played Christmas music, and opened gifts. The kids were so excited, ripping paper everywhere. After playing a bit, we headed to my mom and Brian’s to have brunch and open a few more gifts. It’s always kind of a bummer that we dont have any kids in our family (except for cousins ALL the way in New Zealand). My mom does a great job though. She made everything really special for us and we had a great time. Now he and Isla both have little chairs with their names on them. DSC_0099 DSC_0102 The handprint canvas we made with the kids for my mom and Brian’s Christmas present. This was NOT as easy as it looks, lol. DSC_0106Really tried to get a good photo of the kids by the tree. No luck! :)
