20 Weeks

Our little guy is the length of a banana this week. Crazy!! I am feeling him kick more and more (mostly in the evening) which always makes me smile. I can't wait for Russ to be able to feel it from the outside. :)

We Couldn't Resist..

Russ and I thought it would be fun to make a little purchase after we found out what we were having. Of course it had to be something completely unneccessary but so cute. Our little guy will be ready for the skate park in no time! :)

It's A Boy!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have been anxiously awaiting the ultrasound to find out what we're having and as many of you may know (and thought yourself according to the poll) I thought I would find out we would be having a girl. This is probably mostly because I am quite girly and it's easy to imagine me with a bundle of pink and ribbons. Although someday we both hope to have a daughter, I've always wanted to have a son first; maybe for the whole "protective big brother thing." You should have seen Russ' face light up when they told us. Of course, we are so thankful to God for a healthy baby either way! We had our 45 minute ultrasound yesterday and it was such a miracle to see our son squirm around, kick, and even roll. I can't believe how tiny his little body parts are! Here are our ultrasound pictures (not the best quality).

Here he is from the side just kicking his legs back.

and here is a little foot!

Rockin' Baby

I really am blessed with a great husband. Yesterday on Mother's Day I woke up to a card filled with sweet sentiments from Russ (and baby). It was so nice and a great start to the day. He also got me a journal so I can document this adventure and next chapter of our life (bonus points: it's damask!! and yes, i am obsessed) He even went shopping with me for maternity clothes. Probably because I keep whining about not having anything to wear and really meaning it this time!

While we were there we picked up this little gem...
I couldn't help it. I love Bob Marley and we thought this would be super fun. Here's a link to the CD on Amazon if you want to hear a sample song.
This company also makes lullaby renditions of bands like coldplay, NIN, and Metallica (which Russ wants...)

The New Hutch

I thought you all might like to know that I actually CAN write about something other than this baby on the way (although it is pretty darn exciting!!). Russ and I made our first big Craigslist purchase a few weeks ago. Our condo doesn't have an abundance of cabinet space in the kitchen and I've been wanting a hutch. Most of these on Craigslist though are old maple and from the 70's. I was pretty stoked to find this one for only $150! It was used to stage condos for real estate. Okay...I guess the most exciting thing I can come up with is a hutch to write about. Thank God there are only 27 days left of school!
