Russ took Rowan to PCC with him this weekend and let him push around a little cart for the first time. He loved it and of course he tried to put everything in the cart. He looks so serious in this picture!

Celebrating Baby Girl!
Yesterday my best friend Andrea, and her mom, hosted a baby shower to celebrate baby girl. At first I told Andrea I really didn’t want to, since it’s my 2nd baby, blah blah blah. She told me to stop trying to rob people of blessing me, lol. I’m glad I listened because I seriously had the best day surrounded by really special friends and family. Everything was just perfect, and people spoiled us so much. I know a lot of the photos in the backyard look the same, haha.. I wish I got a group photo, but I wanted to make sure and get pictures with as many friends as I could!
My mom made this adorable watermelon baby carriage!
Andrea made homemade pink oreos. Yum!
Some of my beautiful friends! Wish I would have gotten a group photo, and photos of everyone else before they left. :)

Finger-painting Fun!
Rowan’s First Haircut
I swear this kid’s hair came out of nowhere. He was SO bald forever, and then all of a sudden he started getting these random wild curly hairs above his ears, and above the nape of his neck.
It would be cute if it came in evenly, but that wasn’t the case! :) So, Russ and I decided to take him in for his first cut. We took him to one of those overpriced, haircut places for kids, but it was totally worth it!
They had different fun “chairs” for him to sit in, and of course, he chose the firetruck! He SO excited making the siren noise, UNTIL the man cutting hair put the cape on him. At that point he was hysterical, and we thought were were gonna get out of there without anything to show.
Finally I had to put him on my lap, and the guy gave him his first sucker. I’m not really too thrilled about candy at this age, but sometimes, you just have to do what works!
They even gave us a clip of his hair in a tiny little plastic bag, and a certificate. Very cute, and we’re loving his “faux-hawk” and how big he looks!!
Here’s a few before pics:

First Bike!
A couple weeks ago, I found a steal of a deal on a Radio Flyer tricycle on Zulily. It’s one of their classic, retro models, and so cute! It’s supposed to be for ages 2 1/2-5, so it’s still a little big for Rowan, but he likes to sit on it and be pushed by dada. Here are my two guys putting it together. Rowan was very excited and kept yelling “Ma Bi” (My bike). Russ was pretty patient with Rowan, while he attempted to “help” every step of the way. He loves to use tools but wants to be part of all the action, which can be kind of tricky to actually get something done!

Breakfast Date!
This morning Rowan woke up at 3 freaking 30… ahhhhhh! Russ was such a saint, and finally just got up with him since he wouldn’t go back to sleep. Finally we got him back down around 6 for a couple more hours but we were both exhausted. This called for a special breakfast date. We headed over to the Sammamish Cafe, which we haven’t tried before. We usually feed Rowan off of our plate but decided to get him his own meal- most of which he ate on his own!! Strawberry pancakes with whipped cream, scrambled egg, and juice- which he never gets! The kid was in absolute heaven.
Rain, Rain, Go Away!
It’s June gloom around here. I’m such a Pacific Northwest girl and actually really love the rain… but some sunshine is nice around summer time. Especially when I have an antsy toddler to entertain!
