Kids Quest Children’s Museum

I have seen this place in the Factoria Mall for years. SO GLAD we decided to finally check it out. I was seriously impressed. My mom took Rowan, Isla, and I today and we had a really great time. It is MUCH better than some of the overpriced exhibits at other museums (… Seattle Science Center…). Rowan went nuts and played hard for 2 hours before we practically had to drag him out of there. I think a membership would be totally worth it; especially for rainy days or just a day we need to get out of the house and get some energy out. There was a million things for him to do. Can’t wait to go back soon!

Just a little over-the-top!

I got this zebra onesie with attached flowers on the bum and matching hat at my baby shower from my BFF Andrea and her sweet mama, “Grandma Jane.” It is so fun and obviously over the top (right up my alley, hehe). She wore the hat for her newborn photo session but the onesie is 6-9 months. I decided I better put her in it and snap some photos while we still have a chance! Happy girl! <3

Bikes & Skateboards!

We finally had a beautiful sunny day! Russ has been working 10 hour days, as well as Friday & Saturday nights. Thankfully, he had the day off today (well…the day at least). We went to buy Rowan a helmet and as you can see he picked spiderman. He’s been asking a lot about riding his bike, and has all of a sudden gotten really into skateboards! I think it’s pretty fun that Russ is so into skateboarding so he can teach him. (gulp!)

We headed outside to play. Even Isla got in on some of the action. Makes me really look forward to Spring!

Isla is 6 Months old!

It is going even faster this time around… halfway to 1 already!

 2013-02-05

Here are Isla’s stats:

Weight: 16 lb 15.5 oz – 50-75th Percentile (Rowan was 17 lb 8 oz)

Height: 27 1/2 inches- still over 98th Percentile (Rowan was just about 27)

It’s funny that at 4 months they were the exact same size and now she weighs less but is taller!?

Our Isla girl is not quite sitting up but is rolling up a storm. She actually prefers to be on her belly, and that’s how she sleeps. She’s grabbing like crazy and loves to touch faces. She has started getting mad when we take something away from her. Pretty funny to see her furrow her little brows and scream! We started solids. She likes the oatmeal cereal but not the sweet potatoes. I was so surprised! She laughs a lot. Still takes a nap about every 90 minutes; unless we’re out, and then she won’t nap at all! She is a happy & content girl and no one makes her laugh more than Rowan!!

Isla’s First Solids

We gave Isla her first solid food meal on Sunday while Russ was home. Oatmeal cereal, just like we gave  Ro. She was a little unsure at first but caught on pretty quick. I’m excited to try sweet potatoes tomorrow. Such a fun new stage! Of course Rowan just HAD to try the cereal as well and wanted us to take pictures of him doing such a “great job” eating it, lol. Here’s a video and some pics! *yes..Russ made fun of me for sounding so bossy in the video, but i swear he gave her like the biggest spoonful! ;-) *
